Description:

This major renovation at Simon Fraser University’s Surrey campus included alterations to the distribution, all new lighting, all new lighting control, structured cabling and upgrading and alterations to the fire alarm system.

Schneider Electric Canada-Tenant Fit Out

This was a complete renovation of a six story office building that needed to be retrofitted to accommodate new office and testing facilities for Schneider Electric. This included completely upgrading the distribution, lighting, branch wiring, and lighting controls though-out the entire building. We also upgraded the fire alarm system, added a new structured cabling system, sound masking. We were also required to install control wiring and specialized connections to custom testing equipment. This was all done on an accelerated schedule.

Construction of the world’s largest mineral assey plant. This included a new 5 MVA unit substation, centralization of corporate offices as well as a new testing facility for mining core samples. We were also an integral part of the design and assist team working closely with the owner and consultant.

Schneider Electric: Solar MicroGrid Facility

Construction and design of Schneider’s Electrical Microgrid Lab, which included a 5MVA substation. This lab was designed to test distribution grade inverters for large solar panel fields. Completed the project in under four months which contained over 70,000lb of wiring and over 300,000lb of test equipment and a 1,800 point control structure.

North Delta Rec Center

Expansion of the existing recreation center consisting of a new gymnasium, fitness center, offices and recreation spaces. This 27,000sqft addition required that all of the new lighting, distribution, communications, controls and fire alarm system integrate with the existing building.

New B Innovation

This project was for New B Innovations pharmaceutical production facility and clean rooms in Burnaby, B.C. This complex design assist project included upgrading the distribution, fire alarm system, security system along with new lighting and communication cabling. We also connected all of the specialty equipment and controls required by the client. This majority of this projects installation exceeded the IP67 certification required under the health and safety requirements for this type of facility.

Toba Inlet – Jimmie Creek Camp

The building was still under construction as we undertook this project that took place over the 25th through to the 28th floor. This themed 148,000 square foot mega outdoor shopping center is the anchor tenant at the Tsawwassen Mills Shopping Center. This project included all of the electrical work for the entire store which contains a restaurant, a 12 lane bowling alley, a 15,000-gallon freshwater aquarium along with all of the custom mounted lighting and controls to help highlight the unique murals and artifacts throughout the store.
